Lourenzo's Strengths and Weaknesses!

I believe that my greatest strength is in my ability to discern and recognize my weaknesses. My notable strengths are I am good at public speaking, I am a critical reader, I am a critical thinker, I am good in writing papers, I am full of ideas and dreams with actions, I am analytical I discern and think things through before I proceed and choose the best possible outcomes, I am a leader and I can defend my word, stand strong and make the best decisions in the heat of the moment. I am not afraid to lose, and I take risks and accept whatever outcomes my decisions will be. I am not afraid of mistakes as I believe that mistakes only make a man much stronger. But though sometimes it takes a thousand battles to win a war. I will always choose the best path for me where I can grow strong and better. I will unlearn and empty my cup if I have to and fill it with new knowledge and experiences. I also make sure I live the best and have fun in my life!

For my weaknesses, I will admit that I am a very prideful and opportunistic person though I said that I am not afraid to lose and commit mistakes it is still inevitable for me to feel bad and get angry! I hate losing and I hate when I make mistakes. Sometimes though I make the best decisions in some occurrences these decisions would ruin me later, I am also that type of person who will force what I want and get others angry, and in some cases as well I have the tendency to be "mainitin ang ulo” in stressful moments. Lastly, I feel jealous and think little of myself when I see others are better and ahead of me.

I am Lourenzo Manimtim, I am a human person, and I am aware of my strengths and weaknesses. And even with the this that I have said above despite me being a hothead and a prideful person. I always believe that we have boundaries in our life, and we have limits on all of us. I always keep in mind to always be calm, compassionate and caring for others. And ask God for forgiveness and wisdom in all aspects of our life.

I dream to become an International Lawyer and a Filipino Business Magnate; with God I will use my strengths and improve on my weaknesses.

A man might not be perfect, But this imperfection is what leads a man to change. With God nothing is impossible!

Thank you and Blessed Be God Forever!

THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE FILIPINO DEMOCRACY | By: Lourenzo Manimtim

THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE FILIPINO DEMOCRACY   By: Lourenzo Manimtim The state of the nation depends on states of citizens, and a nation is governed by leaders and the leaders are elected by the citizens. It is not a very big surprise to see usual the political situation of the Philippines, shown in the media are the rampant cases of corruption, incompetence of leaders, violence, and greed.   Most politicians operate by their own interests, primarily the traditional politicians, the large and corrupt big political families that rule the power and government in our country. And many of these families are fat dynasties, with their greed of power and wealth they leech and drain the country of its resources. But aside from the fat dynasties, there also other ordinary politicians that use their power for their own interests. But amidst the current situation we cannot take for granted that there are also good politicians that loyally serves and loves their country and the socie...

The State of Rights and Democracy in the Strongman’s War on Drugs

The State of Rights and Democracy in the Strongman’s War on Drugs A Reflection Paper by Lourenzo Manimtim               “If I make it to the presidential palace, I will do just what I did as mayor. You drug pushers, holdup men, and do-nothings, you better get out because I'll kill you.” (Human Rights Watch, Conde, 2017)             On May 9, 2016, the former president said those words beginning the herald of the campaign against illegal drugs— The “War on Drugs”. Not too long since words were spoken death and misery have spiked in the country in the first six (6) months of his presidency— the administration has led to an unprecedented number of killings (Rapper, 2016). Many people were killed, and many were slain in this bloody and brutal war. Reminiscence of this wretched memory still lingers in the minds of the people. The rampant cases and detrimental brea...
