ACADEMIC VS CREATIVE WRITING


Conclusion:

            Academic Writing is writing that is used to convey research. It is meant to inform; it is an argumentative and expository way of delivering information on a particular subject. It can be used by teachers and students in studying. Academic writing is precise, formal, and objective some examples of Academic Writing are Essays, Research, Reports and Textbooks. Creative writing on the other hand, is a form of writing that is meant to entertain and educate. It uses words to create and to distort reality to your own. It is free and imaginative that uses different form of expressions to express yourself. Unlike Academic Writing, Creative Writing uses language in imaginative and bold ways. It is different from any kind of writing. Some examples of Creative Writing are Novels, Poetry and Fictions.

            The figure above shows the comparisons and contrasts of both texts. It highlights the difference on its language, delivery, and structure but at the same time it also contains slight comparisons, both texts follow a structure and a process. both contains a theme and communicates information in its own unique ways. In conclusion, Academic Writing and Creative Writing can have little similarities but, in the end, both form of writings is unique and contains more difference from one another.
