Gab's Guide for a Great and Wonderful life!

Gab's Guide for a Great and Wonderful life!

21 ways to become a responsible adolescent prepared for adult life

1. Huwag mong igiit ang gusto mo. Do not forcibly push your ideas into other people. Be respectful of other people’s opinions and listen and consider their thoughts and feelings. If other people like siblings do not want a scrambled egg for breakfast then do not be a savage and cook sunnies for breakfast. It is not good to have a bad breakfast or else you’ll have a very bad day. Your younger sibling will go into tantrums and in any minute you expect there will be grave consequences.

2. Huwag kang manhid. Huwag ka mang-inis. I suggest that you don't be someone who causes the suffering and despair of others. It may physically, mentally or emotionally, not make yourself a villain and avoid being a “sadist”. It is not good to live a life where people won’t respect and treat you like garbage. Do not be the cause of someone’s downfall, always listen to other people’s thoughts and reasoning. Give respect and give love to others, so people will respect and love you too.

3. Health is wealth. All the greatest wealth and treasures in the world can only be done and gathered if the person is in great health. Health is wealth not only in terms of investments but in relation to your absolute state of well-being. Wealth is defined as in the same leagues of great abundance or of great treasure. Health is wealth, as health is one of the most important treasures of our life. Without good health whether in body, mind or soul, despite your talents and riches you will never gain the true treasure.

4. Principle of Excluded Middle, choose one side. In life, for the sake of our choices and in assumption to have the best and secured decisions in life we often sometimes do play safe and stay neutral. But I believe that in life there is never true neutrality as decisions and outcomes can only come on two sides like “YES” or “NO”. Though some answers may lead to “MAYBE” eventually a long time or a thousand years may pass the end will always be “YES” or “NO”. With that analogy, it is significant to take note that whatever decisions you might make in your life do not be indecisive! Be strong, concrete and concise with all of your actions because as time goes on any decision or any action a man might make. Like a still ocean any action has an opposite reaction and these actions can change the form of water and create ripples that can long and beyond. Choose the best side and do not ever regret whatever decision you will make in your life. You can change the world.

5. Hindi pwede mag-sabay ang matalino at pagiging tanga. A genius fool, that is quite a very funny figure of speech. An Oxymoron, which one word will contradict its partner. Like the principle of excluded middle, you can never be an intelligent person and at the same time and in the same respect be a fool. Because the moment you are practicing this form of action it won’t lead to good things. If you want to be something just choose one side and be the best of it. Because once you mix being smart and being an idiot all together. Expect yourself to fail in a lot of aspects. I consider myself as a capable, strong and intelligent person, I am quiet and act the best decision when necessary. But once I become a fool, I neglect things, take things for granted, argue with people and make bad jokes. Then that in those like a summit, the higher you reach the greater you fall. It takes years to build trust, seconds to break it, and an eternity to repair. I have reflected on my actions and I do not want other people to suffer the same state as well.

6. You cannot give what you do not have. Blind men will never be able to guide blind men. You cannot give what you do not have and that is a reality. You cannot give money if you don’t have money and you cannot give other people advice if you don't even know or have the experience to give advice at all. It is a very simple analogy, do not try to pretend to become someone, do not pretend to be great. Be honest of yourself and know your limitations and if you really want to help people and be a source of inspiration? Then what is the best solution? You must study, learn and work things all out.

7. Walk the Talk. Who are you? Do you only live for yourself? Are you just simply a person of all talk? Do you have a dream? Then have a breakthrough! Move your joints and run! Actions speak louder than words and a dreamer without an action is likened to a dead person. If you have a great and an amazing dream will you only let that dream stay in your dreams? Walk the talk! Whatever your plan and dreams in life you must fix yourself, gear up and take a step forward. Time is never a stagnant place, it moves and constantly flows. It won’t wait for you and it will not wait for your dreams. God has given us the blessings and it is up to us whether we will use it “Nasa Diyos ang awa at nasa tao ang gawa!”. Walk the talk and ensure that whatever you plan and say you must keep your word and just do it!

8. Aspire to be your ideal self. Have a very big dream and aspire to become your best self! An Ideal Self, is the self that you aim to be. It may be linked to wishing to have the same characteristic of a mentor or someone that you look up to. Aspire to be your Ideal Self, as this will serve as an inspiration for you as a guide to the path of your life. It is the idealized image that we have developed over time, based on what we have learned from our experiences. One day I aspire to become an influential international lawyer and a Filipino business magnate that will be an inspiration and a role model to all fellow filipinos. It is a very long way to go to achieve my dream but I know with God I can achieve and climb whatever obstacle or challenge that I will face along the way.

9. Principle of noncontradiction. You can never focus on two things at the same time and expect to achieve impressive results. For example, in studying if you try to study and review two subjects at the same time your focus will be divided and you will not be able to learn and get the full lesson, the best results you can probably get if you do these is 50/50.

10. Make your foundations strong. Through the years a child was taught by its parents the values, morals and beliefs instilled in them. These are the foundations of what makes the child as a part of the society to become strong and independent. Staying true to your formations will help prevent indecisiveness and make a much stronger person.

11. In everything you take there are responsibilities to make. In every action there is always an opposite reaction, Newton's third law of motion states. In life, whatever we are going to take we must keep in mind that there will always be consequences and responsibilities to make. What may or will we want for our future we must talk to ourselves and reflect on your decisions. There are responsibilities to make once you do something you will never be able to get back what is past will become the past.

12. Everything is possible. As long as you can do it, as long as it is in the realm of reality, everything can be possible! Do not be limited by simply what you are now; you need to grow and get out of your shell. I will admit that sometimes I’d rather have the things and moments of my life to never pass but I know it won’t be possible because it’s not reality. Be real in life but dream your dream your future. With God everything is possible!

13. God is the Greatest Healer. He is the God of the people and the God of all things. With him everything is possible he can heal all of our sickness, he can heal our problems and our sins. God loves us so whatever may happen in life always look on the bright side and remember that God is always within you.

14. Trust and Hope. They say COVID-19 is contagious, but I believe that trust and hope is more contagious. Trust people, trust in things and trust in God. If there is trust then there is hope and if there is hope then there is life! In relation with everything is possible, as long as you are alive I believe that a problem will never be the end. Make friends, find love, and search for enlightenment let the virtue of trust and hope guide your journey of life.

15. Have compassion with other people. The start of any great relationships with other people begins with compassion. As a member of the society I believe that it is important to take note if you want people to respect you and treat you the same you want to be treated. Having compassion and care with other people will be a great start. If you won’t give compassion to other people, you can make them feel bad and hopeless just like my Dad’s doctor who is very by the book and does not consider my father’s feelings and emotions he just gives its medicines. I know the doctor isn’t a psychologist but I believe they should instill hope to patients and not stress.

16. Apply what you learn. Don't just become a person who only follows an established set of processes. Be free and be unique, apply and innovate and immerse yourself, use what you have learned and simply do not act by the book.

17. Huwag mong ipagpabukas ang kaya mo ngayon.

18. Make every moment count. Don't miss any opportunity and learnings, Time is Gold it is very valuable.

19. Work Smarter, Be Smarter, Work Faster,

20. Life is the Law of the Jungle. January 9, 2022 (11:30 PM)

21. Be fast in doing your work.

22. Utak ang labanan, Be a critical thinker.

23. Value you education, May bayad yan use it the best!

24. Ang tunay na magaling ay angat!

25. Maging matatag in your decisions, be strong and be firm!

The “I” and “My” by George Herbert Mead: A Reflective Essay by: Lourenzo Manimtim

The “I” and “Me” and the Generalized others, of George Herbert Mead, focuses on the effects of the significant others in the development of our perception of the self. In contrast to the study of Charles Cooley, where he believed that the other people are the ones that play a significant role on how we view our selves. Mead instead focused on the significant others, the significant people that may influence to our perception of the self and how those people thoughts of us changes across the lifespan. The special people which Mead refers are the closest people to us, most especially our family, relatives, peers and even your loved one. Mead’s theory highlights the effect of the significant others, their influence in our life to what they expect us to become. In this theory of the social self, we will understand the views, thoughts and expectations of society had of us and how it affects the development of our self. “I” is the individual identity of a person and our pers

THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE FILIPINO DEMOCRACY | By: Lourenzo Manimtim

THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE FILIPINO DEMOCRACY   By: Lourenzo Manimtim The state of the nation depends on states of citizens, and a nation is governed by leaders and the leaders are elected by the citizens. It is not a very big surprise to see usual the political situation of the Philippines, shown in the media are the rampant cases of corruption, incompetence of leaders, violence, and greed.   Most politicians operate by their own interests, primarily the traditional politicians, the large and corrupt big political families that rule the power and government in our country. And many of these families are fat dynasties, with their greed of power and wealth they leech and drain the country of its resources. But aside from the fat dynasties, there also other ordinary politicians that use their power for their own interests. But amidst the current situation we cannot take for granted that there are also good politicians that loyally serves and loves their country and the society.   But if

The People’s Republic of China views Taiwan as an inseparable entity and important part o
