    The pearl of the Southeast, the Philippines, is a democratic and free country that has good and healthy relationships with other countries in the leagues of diplomacy, business and commerce and politics. And these good and healthy diplomatic ties enabled the Philippines to thrive, connect and grow amidst the increasingly globalized world.

    The Philippines is part of the Southeast Asian Region, it has a current total of 7,107 in its territory both habitable and inhabitable. It has a strong and powerful growing population of 110 million people. The nation identifies its national identity and ethnicity as the “Filipinos”. The nation utilizes and use the “Filipino” as the national language or the common means of communication. It is a culmination of the combined many dialects in the Philippines, the most notable language used in Filipino, is the Tagalog and the English language.

    The country is a member of many International Organizations, such as the United Nations and its related sub-branches such as the WTO, WHO, UNICEF, UNESCO, and more, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), and many more. This exemplifies the fact that Philippines is a participant and member in the International Community. The country engages in many programs, talks and bilateral agreements with countries. Such for example, are trade and economic agreements, military aid, migration, and continuous diplomatic ties.

    Speaking of diplomatic ties, the Philippines, is one of the countries that is an advocate of international relations. The country has several consulates, missions, and embassies around the world. Filipino Ambassadors acts as the physical representatives of the state on other countries. In total the Philippines have embassies and consulates in total of 68 countries. Most notably, in the United States, Korean and China. These embassies not only develop good diplomatic ties, but also protect the general welfare and rights of Filipino migrants and expatriates abroad.

    The Philippines is a very friendly country, and throughout the years it has developed good relations with other countries that has led to the growth and prosperity of our country. The story of the Philippines and its relationship with other nations will not end. In the modern age of Globalization, the need for countries to be diplomatically tied has been more significant than ever before. The Philippines connects to sustain the interests and the needs of the Filipino people.
