"The Pandemic Address" By: Lourenzo Gabrielle O. Manimtim  A year and a half ago, our beloved country had been surprised by a great plague that brought destruction and disaster to our great and humble nation, conceived in freedom and valor, dedicated to the premise that the people of this nation are created of love, courage, and strength. Now we are still engaged in the great mutiny, the invisible war, challenging whether that this humble nation will live through, brave this great enmity, and long endure. At this very moment, we are on the great battlefield of this unseen war. We have come to be a part of this field, together, with the heroes — the frontliners, who are giving their lives that this nation will continue living.   It is altogether fitting and proper, that we should exalt these heroes with great respect. The heroes — the frontliners, who are exhausted, from battles that never end. These champions must be honored and given their benefits. In a larger...

Pablo Baen Santos "Krista" 1984 “Dead Men tell no Tales” It is the perfect statement in describing the current status of our media today. Freedom of Speech and Expression is a must for any democratic country as it provides the voice and the rights of its citizens. The Philippines until now remains to be one of the most dangerous places for journalists with lots of politicians and other officials killing journalists leaving a story without an ending. Leading to manipulation of events and corruption. The media should become the medium for communication and voice for the people. To seek out the misdeeds and bad things done by the government for transparency and honesty. Media in a sense can be good or bad, but if it is used wisely and there are no misconducts then media can always be trustworthy. Leaders are meant to become leaders not bosses, the government officials must be honest and competent in doing any of their work. Politicians will never fear the media if only they do ...

Love is an oak tree Formidable, it is strong In God’s foundations.

A 19-year-old running for public office in New Hampshire found out about the importance of following Internet safety rules the hard way. As Seacoast Online reports, his opponents found images in his social media posts that were sexually suggestive and referenced past drug use. Just like that, his political career crashed and burned upon takeoff. But, unfortunately, he isn't the only one, as careless Internet habits have left others exposed to scams, identity theft and physical harm at the hands of people they met online. With more users accessing the Internet through mobile devices, these risks are changing and growing quickly. Even though apps loom larger in most people's daily online interactions than traditional websites do, that does not mean that the basic Internet safety rules have changed. Hackers are still on the lookout for personal information they can use to access your credit card and bank information. Unsafe surfing can also lead to other threats—from embarrassing...

What is the purpose of school? On this page, you will find reviews of empirical research, literature on educational philosophy,  case law, state constitutions, and surveys of business/industry that relate to this question. Dr. Damian Bebell of Boston College and Dr. Steven Stemler of Wesleyan University have developed a model for thinking about school purpose that they call the MIA Model. In short, this model states that schools should be in charge of defining for themselves what they believe their core purpose to be. Next, the curricular and extracurricular offerings should align with the school mission. Finally, assessments of success should be congruent with the unique mission of the school. Although schools serve a wide variety of purposes, decades of research has shown that the most commonly mentioned purposes of  K-12 schooling in the United States tend to focus on three core elements: Civic development Emotion...

The video game industry is a global phenomenon. There are more than 1.2 billion gamers across the planet, with sales projected soon to pass $100bn (£65bn) per year. The games frequently stand accused of causing violence and addiction. Yet three decades of research have failed to produce consensus among scientists. In laboratory studies, some researchers have found an increase of about 4% in gamers' levels of aggression after playing violent games. Image A growing body of evidence suggests video games can affect the brain's development But other research groups have concluded factors such as family background, mental health or simply being male are more significant in determining levels of aggression. What is certain is that science has failed to find a causal link between video games and real-world acts of violence. But away from the controversy, a growing body of work is beginning to show these games in a different light. Psychologists split over whether video games c...

When we say word `GAME` what do we firstly think of it. Some can say sports and others are video games. yeah if you all guessed it your correct. But I have a question does our life can be considered a game? Yeah it is obviously correct that our life is game because of our problems. But I have a deep meaning to say so let's begin. Life is a game a game series of different levels and difficulties its starts from our childhood until to our death some may be victorious and others are game over. The game of life is series of devastating problems which if we fail can be a great loss. But we must not give up to this point Every failure can be our lesson and remember this is a game so there is a `restart` probably you can do different or even new strategies to finish the challenge for you to succeed the last challenge you take.  But sometimes there is no restart you cannot repeat and you think is `I Failed I cannot do this again what you do is very easy be better next time or do inst...
