Why is it important to know communication differences based on nationalities?

Why is it important to know communication differences based on nationalities? Elaborate on your answer. The development of a person to become socially capable is a process of development that happens and develops over time. People are not automatically born as socially capable, all of us are conceived equal. In the time when we are babies the most common way infants communicate is through crying and using non-verbal communication. They cry whenever they are hungry, and they throw their bottles whenever they get angry. But as we grow from our infancy, to adolescence, and to our status as young adults. Our ability to communicate develops and in this development, we adapt the things, culture and values from our environment and society. In which adding them all together creates a nurtured identity. We become unique and inherit the culture of our family and community and be influenced by the values and beliefs of our society establishing ourselves as part of the group and the societ...

M2 socio-digital debate (Topic: Social Media) | By: Lourenzo Manimtim

M2 socio-digital debate   ØEverything we post on our social media will remain there forever. ·        Agree, what we post on social media reflects what kind of person we are, our traits and personality reflect on each post we put on our social media accounts. Dealing with Problems by Lourenzo

  1.  What are the different ways on how people deal with life challenges?  People are not born the same, we are different and all of us faces problems and challenges that are unique and special to all of us. The short film reflects about LIfe and how people solve and deal with their problems in their own ways. Some may deal with their problems by going on headfirst, some may do to resolve their challenges on a rational way like planning and thinking before they act and others may simply let time and everything to pass. Different challenges comes with different solutions. But the universal answer in all of these challenges is that challenges will pass as long as do you an effort to accomplish the problems and struggles of your life. People have different challenges, and these trials are meant for people to learn and to become their better selves.  2.  Relate the short film to your own experience of dealing with challenges? I loved the video, and it really reflec...

"Think Before You Click!" | Lourenzo Manimtim

“Think before you click” this is the concept I always keep in my mind whenever I post in social media. I know that whenever I post there will be people who will see, comment and like my posts. And in this scenario, people will build an imagination of who I am and create an identity to describe myself. You are what you post in social media, your actions and posts reflect who you are. People will judge based on what they see, watch, and observe. That is why in social media, I am reserved and disciplined in my posts. I only post what I want and what is needed to post. I keep my conduct online and post only good and respectful things about myself. Like the usual posts I do are my achievements, successful engagement and my family. I like attention and of course fame that is why I post in social media. But I am very selective and keep my posts benign and strictly observed so there will be no problems. I see social media as an art, and like art, art is the expression that immortalized a...

PLATO ABOUT THE SELF | By: Lourenzo Manimtim, Hannah Dollente & Jaycee Bartolome

PLATO SELF   MEMBERS: Manimtim, Lourenzo Gabrielle O.                      Dollente, Hannah Camille A.                     Jaycee Aldrich B. Bartolome                         1.      Do you agree with what (Plato) has concluded about the self? Why ?   LOURENZO: One of the greatest ideas that I like in Plato’s Philosophy is the “World of Forms and Senses”, which argues that Forms, is the perfect ideal world. And senses, or reality, is simply but an imperfect copy of the perfect world. This idea implies the division of reality based on what we perceived that there is perfect world somewhere parallel on what our eyes see and body experience i...

A Letter From Odysseus

To my one and only love, It is cold and a lonely night, but my heart never falters or fright, for my love is far stronger more than the roaring seas and the mightiest breeze. Though the wind may blow, in places far I know. My soul lingers your warmth, for my love’s loyalty lies only to the woman I truly heart. I will! I will come home! Time may have set us apart, but my love will never part. Penelope! My dearest heart, my journey is still far and long, none knows how it lasts! Wait for me! Till’ death do us part.

Communication Reflection (Purposive Communication Class) | Lourenzo Manimtim 1st Year AB Political Science

I thought... I thought that communication is very simple, where it just takes place a sender and a receiver to make a communication successful. Whenever people engage in a transaction of information through words. I thought that I know many things about communication but there is a lot more to learn. I know the basics, but this subject just delves much deeper on what communication and its purpose. I also thought that communication is just all about talking. I thought that we only communicate when we talk. I thought that communication is always intended and never realize that communication can happen even when we are not looking. I thought that communication is only between me and you. I learned that... I learned that communication is complex process, more than just a relationship between a sender and a receiver. There are more things in the process such as channel, message, barriers, and the feedback. I learned that in communication there are many ...

Political Science: Standford Prison Experiment in Relation to Politics by: Lourenzo Manimtim

  (1)    How would you relate the Stanford Prison Experiment to our discussions regarding politics, power, and authority? If people are given power, naturally the person will feel powerful. He will have authority, an appointed power in which gives the capability to do what they want. And this natural reaction to power to people is what reflected the results of the Stanford Prison Experiment. The guards are given complete authority from small to the vilest actions and the prisoners are the ones being oppressed.   Then in the essence of the project the prison guards show what happens when people are given power to do things freely. A quotation from the experiment says that “If people are given power, then they have the capability to be evil” to overpower others and get the feeling they’re on top that they are higher and will have more authority. In relation to politics, power and authority is always at play. Afterall politics is the study of direction and contest of ...

“Edukasyon isang Kahalagahan sa Pag-alala ng Sariling Kultura at Kasaysayan” ni: Lourenzo Manimtim

Introduksiyon Ang akda ni Francisco Sionil Jose, isang National Artist , na pinamagatang Why are we shallow?
